The Vampire King Rolth & The Vampire Queen Nafera

The Vampire King Rolth & The Vampire Queen Nafera

The great king sat quietly on his thrown his queen sleeping or appearing to be asleep a mere few inches away from him.

His dark red glowing eyes taking in her form to a mortal man she would be a picture of horror.

Her gray skin and long white hair seemed to lay lifeless on her head.

Her colorless lips were thin and tightly against a thick jaw that had pronounced teeth.

Teeth that were jagged and pointed.

To the king however she was the picture of lust and wanting to his cold dead heart.

He had remembered the day he first saw her.

He knew that he wanted her from the start.

She was but many in the long life that he had wanted and taken for his brides.

However, the others never held such interest as this one for him.

Perhaps it was because she had the same lusts he had. She was one that enjoyed the hunt and the utter thrill of the power of new blood as it ran through her veins.

Many of his choices however could not live with the form he had offered them.

They could not fathom the gifts he had given them and they went mad.

Refusing to take off the bloodstone and in time they died every one of them except this one.

No, this one was different she did not mind nor seem to care as to what she had become.

To him perhaps she chose this life he offered her because she in her deepest soul loved him his power and his ways.

With the others this had never happened he had begun to think that in his life the children he created with them would all die and his race would be extinguished like the flame.

Only to be remembered in some horrific thought of things that once were.

However, this one his queen now of a thousand years had given him many generations of strong children.

Yet as he looked at her his mind felt weak not one of the offspring he and she had produced could handle the bloodstone's power.

Those sons and daughters who had gone through the ceremony to prove their worthiness to take his and her place all had gone mad and died as the bloodstones blood power coursing through their veins.

He and she were the only Vampires that he knew of that could drink and survive on what the bloodstone power offering race the pure race that became what they were not through the transference of mortal blood mixing with their blood.

But from the living bloodstone itself. Which was life eternal immortality.

To walk in the daylight and fear, not the trappings that killed the rest of his kind.

The great Vampire king remembered life as a long-forgotten dream his mortal life that was filled with battles between clansmen over land and women.

He remembered the battle that wounded him to the point of death and he remembered that he had all but lost his will to live.

When in the darkness of the cave he had crawled to expect it to be his final resting place. The sound of something thumping like a living heart.

Was the cave alive was there someone in there with him other than the thousands of bats that crowded the cave's ceiling?

He struggled to his feet holding his inside in so they did not spill out.

He moved deeper into the cave.

Feeling dizzy he remembered the fall.

He had slipped and fallen into what he thought to be the depths of the earth.

Only to land with a splash into a pound of red sticky liquid.

That burned his flesh and soul like acid.

He did not know how long he had struggled to make his way to the service.

However, when he had the caves stale air was like an explosion of madness in his mind.

He crawled to the side of the blood pond and passed out from sheer pain.

Perhaps days or months passed as he lay there.

This side of death always hears the thumping sound. When he came to his body had healed and it had changed.

His realization that he was not dead and no longer human sent his mind mad.

For months he roamed the cave in a state of confusion eating bugs and rats and any bat that he could catch.

Drinking out of the blood pond then it was like a Vail lifting off of him one night.

His mind was clear and it was at that moment he first saw the bloodstone.

It sat pumping like a red hart calling to him in a vain crack in the cave wall.

Where the water ran through it creating the blood pond.

It was this beating stone that had changed him and saved his life.

The bloodstone was the wellspring of who he now was.

In the months that followed he began to realize that the bloodstone had given him powers and abilities that only a creature like he could appreciate and understand.

He realized that those powers were his alone and that any he created would be far less than he was. He realized that his gifts could be passed on by his will.

That not all that fell beneath his lust for blood would be transformed.

Or could drink of the bloodstones gaining his gifts.

Perhaps it was living in some way.

Only choosing one-night drinker it thought worthy of its gifts.

For countless years he hunted and tried to reproduce his kind with several females.

However not one would live very long afterward when they gave birth to his offspring they would die.

He had resigned to believe he would be the only true immortal until he came across Nefera.

Nefera was an Egyptian slave sentenced to death for killing her master.

For reasons she would say were hers alone. It was the way that she killed her master that drew the attention of the King Vampire.

She had cut the man up and proceeded to drink his blood.

It was in the King Vampires' power to read her thoughts and he decided to visit her the night before her execution.

In her deep sell, he entered and was surprised to find her nether afraid of his presence or concerned that he may be her early death.

So you have come to the spirit of shadows to judge me she said without looking up into the king vampire's eyes.

I have come to ask you a question child.

The slave girl raised her head replying “If I answer the spirit of the night.

I am to trust that you will spare me for the dead man's Axe.

Choosing not to take my life now.

I choose then to remain silent for death comes to us all by Axe or your hand death is death.

I fear this night I can not escape that fate now.

The king Vampire was impressed and taken back a bit by this girl's tone.

He wanted her more now than ever.

Then he said and if I could offer you a choice that was nether death or life and give you the gift of time.

To seek out and take revenge on those who have made you a slave and tortured your body for self-pleasure.

What if I made you a queen.

What would your answer then be Nefera?

If I were a queen it would be a queen that was like no other shadow spirit.

Because I have many I would seek to quench my thirst for revenge.

The king Vampire was upon the girl in an instant she had made a packed with him in those words to be his.

His sharp teeth tore deep into her soft flesh her blood was the taste of peaches and summer fruit it coursed through the King's vampire veins.

Reeling in his mind all the memories this girl had and all of her desires her pains.

He had to pull away it was too much rarely had the King Vampire come across such blood.

He knew if he did not she would die.

It took all of his efforts to back away then as the girl fell to the dungeon floor the King Vampire pulled from his shirt pocket a knife.

He opened her blouse and stabbed the knife blade deep into her exposed chest.

Then took the knife and sliced his hand.

He had only seconds before her life force would leave her body forever.

He placed his blood dripping hand on the girl's open chest wound.

Almost immediately the wound started to draw in the king's vampire's blood-sucking it in like a hungry mouth.

The King vampire could feel the girl's heart start to pump stronger.

It pumped stronger than it ever had before.

The slave girl Nefera was now the vampire queen Nefera.

In those early years, the vampire King Rolth and his Vampire queen Nerfera became well known and very feared.

Queen Nefera seemed to love her shadow spirit husband as much as a vampire could love.

However, she was like many of the vampire king's brides before not immortal like he was yes she lived longer than any human could, however, she was subject to the ravages of time the blood she drank from humans was not enough to keep her a vampire forever.

It was Queen Nefera who one night approached the Vampire king Rolth and asked have I not pleased you my lord these many years.

The vampire king looked at her knowing her time was near.

Pleased me more than I could say Nefera he replied.

Then let me take off the bloodstone waters so that I can please you forever.

The vampire King Rolth turned his back on her.

You do not know what you ask Nefera he shouted his voice booming in the cave chambers It will kill you or drive you to death.

I have seen it before with others.

You have many years left.

Lyre she shouted I see the way you look at me husband your eyes tell a different story.

If I have truly pleased you let me take my chances with the bloodstones ceremony.

I die either way death is death.

Yet if it chooses me like it chose you.

I could give you so many children worthy of you my lord.

Please give me this chance.

Nefera turned her head weeping in great howls of sorrow.

The vampire king Rolth turned and placed his white boney clawed hands on her gray-skinned shoulder.

She had said those words the words that she had spoken to him those many years ago that made him want her so very badly.

I will take you to the BloodStone. However, you must go in without fear as I had done those thousands of years ago. You must accept that the bloodstone is a living thing and it will know you better than anything could. Its power will drive you mad and it will kill you.

However, Nefera replied it may not it may choose me.

The Vampire king sighed I have lived many years and I have never seen it choose another. However, you must discover this for your self my queen my love.

Nefera took of the bloody waters for many months the bloodstone's power drove her mad to the point of death.

However, in the end, the bloodstone for whatever reason did choose to let her live.

And as she promised she did produce many offspring for the vampire king Rolth.

The vampires found a place in the Arctic away from the main populations of man.

Where they built a great city of wood and timber it was there that The Vampire king Rolth established his rain with Queen Nefera by his side.

The vampire would feed on animals and sometimes the mountain Viking people of Frost.

It was life now that the Vampire King was a board with he had grown tired of the city that had become home to over five thousand of his kind.

He knew that the bloodlines were getting thinner and the vampires that lived there were dieing their life spans shorter and shorter.

Perhaps it was inbreeding to many half-blooded vampires spawned from two lines Vampire and Human or some other reason that the vampire king felt that his race was no longer worthy of his presents.

So as he stared at his queen this one last time thinking as to the true line of vampire blood the line of the true bloodstone heart. He would find a descendant of the bloodstone heart and mate with her. Only then could a true successor to his thrown be produced. It seemed the only way to keep his race alive. The vampire king Rolth knew this betrayal would enrage queen Nefera so he chose to keep his plans from her until he was gone.

He called his scribe to his side.

Yes my lord, what can your servant do for you the scribe asked.

The vampire king said I will be leaving you soon.

However, I will send you the one who will take my place.

You will know him by these words he will speak.

Death is Death by your hand or Axe it means the same.

The scribe wrote down the words and then asked my lord surely one in our kingdom is worthy of your great thrown.

May I ask why an outsider?

The vampire King did not answer. Then the scribe raised his lip in a questioning manner and asked How long will we wait for this New Vampire prince to arrive?

The Vampire King replied when the moon and the sun come together and night lasts one year long.

This one I send you will be trained here by the queen Nefera and then must be given the ceremony of the Blood Stone to prove he is the true king that will sit on this throne.

No other vampire that comes will survive the bloodstone ritual.

So you will know them to be false.

The scribe wrote this all down and then before he was finished the Vampire King Rolth had vanished.

Queen Nefera stirred and demanded of the scribe where the king was.

When she found he had left her she screamed in rage and sorrow.

Because she knew that she had displeased her husband and could not give him the heir his heart desired to carry on the vampire race.
